ECOLOGICAL MODELS OF COMPUTING EDUCATION
At the heart of my research, lies a deep-rooted interest in conceptualising how computing is taught in the local community, and how we might configure relationships between universities, schools, and other stakeholders for the betterment of compulsory computing education
However, there are few suggestions as to how we might begin to create, develop or sustain these relationships, how we might mobilise resources and how we can frame university-school partnerships for the benefit of learners.
Through the course of my PhD thesis, I aim to contribute towards our understanding of the role of the university in partnership with schools, with a focus on the provision of computing education.
As an overall synthesis of my research, I look to explore how we might support the creation, sustainability and growth of computing education-based relationships between computing undergraduates and local secondary schools
